SaskEnergy – Click Before You Dig Campaign

The Challenge

How can we gently remind individuals, with a friendly nudge, that it's crucial to "Click Before You Dig" before embarking on any backyard projects? This ensures the safe identification of buried utility lines and promotes a secure digging experience.

 

The Solution

A colossal 20-foot shovel boldly displayed on an outdoor billboard along the roadside. This eye-catching outdoor billboard not only demands attention but also earned well-deserved recognition by clinching an Anvil award at the prestigious 2017 Ad Rodeo.  Notably, its profound impact on the target audience was further confirmed by assisting the campaign in attaining the highest click-through rates on the corresponding URL, clickbeforeyoudig.com, underscoring its success in not just drawing gazes but actively engaging and resonating with its intended viewership. Apart from designing the outdoor billboard, I also took on the responsibility of crafting and animating the pre-roll advertisement. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in creating a unique accordion-style direct mailer piece. This intricate mailer helped in engaging recipients in an interactive and memorable way, further enhancing the campaign's impact.
